Get your table reservation forms and your tickets for the  "BACK HOME AGAIN" John Denver Tribute Show! Only 200 tickets will be sold and this show will sell out! Tickets are $25 PP. Ginger will be handing out "numbers" at 8:30 so there is no need to stand in line! 

 

Donna Timmons, Treasurer will present the Activities Committee Monthly Financial Report! We will outline January events, ticket sale dates, breakfast and lunches and recruit volunteers to help with each of these activities!

 

January ramps up all of our activities in and around the Clubhouse! Learn about each of the events happening and the welcome extended to join in whether it's a mean game of cards, exercise or golf, softball or bowling out of the park!

 

Two new activities will be added to the lineup of fun! Come and learn what we are adding to the dozens of activities already available in "The Wilderness"

 

Special New Year treats are offered and of course, we provide free coffee if you bring your own cup! (Reduce, Reuse, Reycle)!

Get your blood pressure checked for free on the first Wednesday of the month and then stay for lunch! Thank you Chris A. for coordinating this service to our residents!

Due to the overwhelming response to our request for talent for our talent show, we must have an informational meeting for the "Puttin' On the Ritz" Variety Show! Come on down to the clubhouse and detail your proposed act. No need to bring the whole crew! Just one representative from your group is adequate!! They promise no "Get the Hook" treatment! Join in the fun!

Bingo is a much anticipated weekly activity at IW! Arrive early with the other early birds! There are great prize winnings and lots of fun to be had!

Cliff & Dolph have teamed up to bring karaoke, dancing and singing to this First Friday on the Pool Deck (or inside if the cool, windy weather dictates)! This Friday afternoon pop-up happy hour on the clubhouse pool patio is sure to be fun for everyone!  Bring a chair, your own beverage and snacks and get ready to tap your toes, dance, sing or just take in the music during this happy hour. This is a crowd favorite! See you there. This is a free event for everyone Thanks Cliff & Dolph!

If you've never been to a Chicken Shoot, just GO! It's five bucks to cluck! 39 lucky winners! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Bring snacks! BYOB! There's rumors of side bets to add to the fun! This event truly is indescribable! You'll have a blast and you may even have to do the "Chicken Dance with Joyce", our resident "best sport" chicken! Don't forget "Richie The Rooster" who adds to the fun! We've made a special request to "The Colonel" who shows up occasionally! Practice your own "cluck"....just to be....you know....ready!

All are welcome for a "meet & greet" following the service. This is a very welcoming and convenient place to worship from January-March. The Church of the Wilderness is self funded. Volunteers often have sweet treats to offer each week! You'll find out about new owners and renters as they introduce themselves. Activity leaders update their activities and invite new participants to join in! Tickets are often on sale for all ticketed events following the meeting! It's a wonderful way to "be in the know", offer to volunteer and engage in the community-building we are noted for! See you there?

 

Tickets go on sale for the much anticipated "Thrift With a Twist Bus Tour" leaving IW on 1/31 at 8 AM for a fun filled bus trip to the Palm Beach area. Thrifting at its "funnest and finest" with Penny & Dianne as your leaders, the bus tour is $90 including breakfast snacks, lunch, beverages, tip, games and prizes! 50 numbers will be handed out at the door on Monday before the Activities Meeting. You may purchase one ticket for yourself. First 50 in line will get tickets. After that, names will be added to a wait list in the event someone has to cancel.

 

Tickets are also on sale for the John Denver Tribute Show, scheduled for Friday, January 13th. $25 PP.

DANA ALGER, RECYCLING COORDINATOR FROM COLLIER COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITIES DIVISION WILL BE OUR GUEST PRESENTER ON RECYCLING ETIQUETTE AND HOW WE CAN SAVE OURSELVES MONEY ON OUR TRASH AND RECYCLING COSTS. SHE COMES BEARING GIFTS, TOO! DON'T MISS THIS IMPORTANT PRESENTATION, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE ACTIVITIES MEETING! Judging by the state of our recycle bins, we have a lot to learn about what's trash and what's recyclable! Our artisans are offering the second craft show of the season! We have such talent in "The Wilderness"! In addition to "shopping local" you will have the opportunity to support the raffle and win fabulous gifts donated by the crafters! You can also donate baked goods or buy them from our fabulous bakers! 10 AM - 1:00 PM!

Joe, Dianne & Crew are bringing back the ever popular Rotisserie Chicken Lunch! 1/2 chicken and their choice of fixin's are on the menu along with hotdogs. Beverage included! The stage will be set up on Thursday afternoon for the Saturday MAB performance. Bingo attendees, exercise people and the BOD/Annual Meeting participants are welcome to use the stage for thier scheduled activities. Thank you for your consideration.

Election schedule is under development and the tentative date for the 2023 Board of Directors Annual Meeting and Election is January 27, 2023 at 1:00PM.   This date and time will be confirmed in the coming weeks as more dates are solidified.
 

M.A.B. The Mark Anthony Band is Florida’s Ultimate variety Cover Band & Best Tribute Show IN THE U.S.! If you haven’t heard of this band, you are missing out. This is one of the best-kept secrets that SW Florida area has in the way of bands. Mark Anthony Band plays a great variety of rock music and has a large following of fans that will travel all around the SW Florida to see them play. Having been around for over eight years, this is a real favorite in SW Florida and we are thrilled to bring M.A.B. to "the Wilderness".

Before the annual fashion show returns to IW in February, 50 lucky thrifters will board a luxury coach bus for a "Thrifter's Mystery Trip" to the greater Palm Beach Area! Breakfast snacks, a box lunch and beverages will be provided along with games, prizes and lots of fun throughout the trip! There's plenty of storage room for your purchases on the bus! If you find the perfect outfit and accessories to upcycle, you may very well end up modeling in the February Fashion Show! This is a brand new, high energy event at Imperial Wilderness and will surely sell out so get your sister thrifters together to reserve your seat on the bus!
