Calendar of Events

The Activities Committee meets at 9 AM weekly to address the business of the activities scheduled in and around the clubhouse. Event leaders and others are invited to meet with the committee at 10 AM to discuss events, purchases, event suggestions etc.

 

The IW Activities Committee is comprised of the following.....

Be prepared to dance, sing and cheer on your favorite Karaoke performers in "the Wilderness"! Tickets are $5 and will be available from Janice K. at her home from 10-Noon on Wednesday, November 3, Saturday, November 6 and Monday November 7. Tickets will also be available at the door on November 10th. BYOB and snacks

The Voice of the Wilderness Newsletter is published monthly and distributed in the Clubhouse. If you have an article for your event or someting to submit of general interest, please note the monthly deadline and email your article to iwvoice34114@gmail.com or drop it off in the mailbox located at 119 Cheetah. 

Roger & Jo & Crew bring you the Annual IW Family Thanksgiving Dinner. A whole 20 lb turkey, homemade dressing and gravy will be provided to your table of eight. You and your friends (new & old) bring your favorite regional side dishes to complement your dinner. BYOB, carving utensils and dinnerware.

Join Don & Helene Wilson to celebrate Chanukah by lighting the menorah at sundown each night from November 28th through December 5th. Chanukah (or Hanukkah) is Hebrew for "dedication" and commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrian Greek Army, and the subsequent miracle of rededicating the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and restoring its menorah, or lamp. These events took place over 2000 years ago. The miracle of Hanukkah is that only one vial of oil was found with just enough oil to illuminate the Temple lamp for one day, and yet it lasted for eight days. The festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and of spirituality over materiality
