Bruno, our very own IW Crooner will bring you a Friday afternoon pop-up concert on the pool patio! Bring a chair, your own beverage and snacks and get ready to tap your toes, dance or just take in the music during this happy hour. Firts Friday is a crowd favorite! See you there. Bring some "jingle" as we pass the hat!

C'mon down to the Clubhouse for a scrumptious breakfast by Cathy & Crew! Imperial Wilderness is home to some amazing artisans. Check out all that they offer at the annual holiday craft show and check out the raffle that all artisans contribute to! Don't forget the bake sale! Contribute your favorite baked goods or come and buy some! IW bakers are the best! It's a fun morning and the beginning of a very festive holiday season for our IW Family!

A breakfast is planned to coincide with the December Holiday raft Show. See Cathy B, Kitchen Manager for details.

If you've never been to a Chicken Shoot, just GO! It's five bucks to cluck! 39 lucky winners! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Bring snacks! BYOB! There's rumors of side bets to add to the fun! This event truly is indescribable! You'll have a blast and you may even have to do the "Chicken Dance with Joyce", our resident "best sport" chicken! The Colonel shows up occasionally! You might even practice your own "cluck"....just to be....you know....ready!

Sunday Ice Cream Socials are a favorite event in "The Wilderness"! Come see who's scooping and bring your own spoon and bowl (sustainability)! Michelle La Valley coordinates scoopers each week. See her if you'd like your group, friends or neighbors to volunteer! Ice cream scoopers have the most fun! "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream"! Best bargain in all of Naples!

Monday morning Activities Committee Meetings are a great way to start the week. Free coffee is offered to those that bring their own cups (Reduce Reuse Recycle). Volunteers often have sweet treats to offer each week! You'll find out about new owners and renters as they introduce themselves. Activity leaders update their activities and invite new participants to join in! Tickets are often on sale for all ticketed events following the meeting! It's a wonderful way to "be in the know", offer to volunteer and engage in the community-bulding we are noted for! See you there?

The BOD Fining Committee has reserved the use of the Library from 1-3 pm today. Thank you for respecting their reserved space. As a point of reference, BOD business takes precedence over recreational use of the clubhouse. Every effort is made to limit committee meetings in the clubhouse, or to schedule around planned card games etc. We have a lot happening in "The Wilderness" and space is at a premium during "season". Thanks for your understanding.

The Blood Pressure Clinic is scheduled before lunch on the first Wednesday of tthe month! Thak you to Chris A. for coordinating this effort!

As previously announced, our IW Office Administrator Irene Brooks is leaving IW for a new career path. We will have cake and coffee on Thursday December 8th. at 1:00 pm so we can say our farewells to Irene and wish her good luck and fortune for her future.  Irene has certainly been a great asset to our community for several years and will definitely be missed.
 
Please see Rhonda Miner, Carole Gilfedder or Joy Kamphius if you would like to give a cash contribution for Irene. This collection will be presented to Irene at the cake and coffee gathering.

The New Horizon Band, which originated right here at IW, returns for the annual Tweets & Sweets Concert! They provide the "tweets" and the Activities Committee provides the "sweets"! Look for some fun audience participation this year! After this free holiday concert, cake will be served, compliments of the Activities Committee! Come one, Come all! See you there! This is a "pass the hat" event to support the New Horizons Band!

Occasionally, BOD committee meetings will be convened as their business dictates.This is the case with the Storage Lot Committee. Thanks for respecting their reserved meeting space. As a point of clarification, BOD business takes precedence over recreational use of the clubhouse.

Blood donations are desperatly needed in the Naples area. Your blood donation stays in Collier County, often used in pediatrics. Give generously this season! Your donation may just save up to three lives! Sign up in the Multi-Purpose Room. There are times available! Lunch follows, hosted by the Men's Golf League!

Thanks to the Men's Golf League for stepping up to cook burgers and dogs for the first lunch of the season! We feed our Blood Drive personnel, and all of our donors are hungry!

We are in search of talent in our community! It seems we have a lot of musicians that are shy about performing in a group! No need to be shy! Bring your instrument and join in! the jam! We invite new talent to bring a fresh twist to Third Fridays on the pool deck starting in January! We will have some fun percussion instruments to add to the mix for audience participation!  BYOB, a chair, a snack to share and sit back and enjoy the music! Sing a little, dance a bit! Turn your Christmas lighting on! Our judges, consisting of owners and renters will be judging for the Christmas Lighting Contest! Awards will be presented on Sunday night (following the Golf Cart Parade) at the Ice Cream Social!

This favorite Christmas tradition was started by sisters Della and Ilene! They served up homemade quiche and a variety of taste treats. In 2023 we bring you a smashing five-station hot and cold buffet. Hot twice-smoked bone-in ham, French Toast Casserole, the best Spinach Salad Bar with hot bacon dressing, Jingle Juice Bar including spiked and na egg nog, an omelet station and a delectable dessert table! Your event leaders and volunteers will have fresh new menu items along with old favorites. Sure to please! Ticket Sale Dates: December 5,7,10 & 12!. $20 PP! No reserved tables! It's tradition to sit with old friends and welcome new ones to join you! Doors open at 10:45 with seating for folks with special needs! Choose your table, enjoy some Jingle Juice and prepare to visit each brunch station at your leisure when it opens at 11:00 AM!

Pat Buhagier, Pat Wackerlin and Joyce Linsday are organizing the Golf Cart Parade in 2022! ! We have elf stops, singing stops, neighborhood party stops and to top it off we offer fabulous prizes for the best decorated golf carts! This holiday golf cart parade weaves its way throughout IW's neighborhoods and the competition is fierce for decorations and the most fun and welcoming neighborhood stops. Just like everything else in "The Wilderness" this is a really fun event with lots of participation and laughs. Following the parade, awards are handed out at the ice cream social in the clubhouse! 

 

The 2022 Grand Marshall is none other than Norma Downing! Norma has been a tireless volunteer at IW, organizing the annual Christmas Eve Gathering and the IW Talent Show among other events! Norma is a force for good and welcomes all into our IWCA Family, making her the perfect Grand Marshall for 2022! Congratulations Norma! Your honor is well deserved and well earned!

Once again, the Activities Committee offers fabulous cash prizes for the best decorated homes in this Christmas Lighting Contest! There's a "Pop-Up" happy hour today on the Clubhouse patio! Bruno is entertaining with a bit of holiday cheer us before he leaves for the Christmas holiday! "Santa Baby" anyone? Thanks for cleaning up and putting patio chairs and chaise lounges back in an orderly fashion!

This IW traditional gathering offers the opportunity to share Christmas Eve with your IW Family. Norma and Bill orchestrate this event in which all are welcome including your guests. Bring an appetizer to share and your beverage of choice. Entertainment is provided. Paper products are also provided! See you there. This is a free event!
