Waste Management Presentation

Thank you to Grace & Fletcher Rogers for inviting Waste Management to address our residents about recycling do's and don'ts! The presentation will immediately follow the Activities Meeting. You will learn what constitutes garbage, and what is recyclable. Please remember, improper recycling costs everyone! Dirty recyclables and garbage contaminate a whole load of recyclables and becomes garbage, which we are charged for. Our staff now handles recycling pickup on Thursdays, which costs us manhours in salary/benefits. (Our volunteers gave up on recycling pickup because our residents weren't following protocol)! Additional costs are passed on in relation to maintenance dues and higher costs to renters. Come find out how you can be a solution to the problem and save all of us money and help the environment! There could be giveaways!
Quilt & Craft Show

Join IWCA's world-class quilters and other fiber artists as they display the handmade pieces they have been working on individually and collectively. New Horizon's Band Concert

This 55+ piece band-TheNew Horizons Band-presents a concert each year! This is a free event though a freewill offering will be taken! The band will play at 6PM followed by our usual Sunday night ice cream social! The band includes IWCA residents as well as residents from the Greater Naples area! Come and enjoy this IWCA tradition-started many years ago by the Ernst Brothers! We are so happy it continues to this day!

Comcast Presentation

Ben Albeit, our Comcast Community Account Representative will be on hand to do a demonstration of our bundled Comcast features and introduce residents to the X1 System for upgrades. There will be a Q&A time. Please note there will be NO equipment exchanges! Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donut holes availble! First come/first serve! Plus free give aways!
This event will be replicated throughout the season. Your Technology Committee (under the direction of the IWCA BOD) is chaired by Mike MacDonald and is currently scheduling Comcast Community Visits through 2020 in order for our residents to maximize Comcast features and services.
Quilting/Sewing Group Potluck

The Technology Committee was asked to review the present Comcast contract (cable tv incl. and additional fee for internet) that is to scheduled for renew/replace in October 2020.
We met witih Marcie Gershoni President of Community Cable Consultants and her associate Mark Bluestein Director of Business Development. Community Cable Consultants negotiated our current Comcast contract. They also represent a client base of 70 Associations in Florida.
In a continuing effort to provide clarity and transparency to our residents, we have asked CCC to review our current contract and present a review/update of services promised/delivered in our current Comcast contract. Secondly, they will present an overview of changing technology trends and opportunities that the IWCA/Technology Committee/BOD may consider as we look to negotiate cable/internet options for 2020 when our current contract expires.
On Monday, March 25th at 9:30, Marcie and Mark will give a presentation to the General Activity Meeting attendees on the standing of our current Comcast contract as well as their services in negotiating on behalf of communities like ours.This is an information only meeting.
