The Clubhouse including the Multi-Purpose Room will be closed for set-up/sound checks for the Beatlebeat group beginning between 2-3:00 pm on Tuesday. 

BEATLEBEAT is known internationally as the world’s most fun & entertaining tribute show!!! The band includes an all-star cast with members from the original Broadway & touring cast of Beatlemania & The British Invasion from Disney World’s EPCOT. They capture the music, energy and magic of a Beatles concert with authentic outfits of different eras. With their famous black “Ed Sullivan” suits, BEATLEBEAT spans the Fab Fours touring era with classic hits like “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, “A Hard Day’s Night”, “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Help!” and many more early favorites. Changing into colorful Sgt. Pepper suits, they will perform classic favorites from the “Summer of Love” including “Sgt. Pepper”, “With a Little Help from My Friends” and “Yellow Submarine” and more!

 

 

 

 

The Activities Committee meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. If you have questions, would like to propose an event or have business with the Activities Committee you are welcome to attend at 10 AM.

The Board of Directors will hold a weekly meeting every Wednesday in the clubbhouse. An agenda will be posted. All owners are welcome.

Affordable Golf Carts conducts a free clinic annually at IW to do a once-over to tighten things, check/water up the batteries, check tires and perhaps diagnose those little "sounds" your cart makes! If they can't do repairs onsite, they will arrange for your cart to be picked up for service at Affordable Golf Carts in East Naples. This is a great free opportunity to have your cart checked out! If you see a line, don't be discouraged! It goes fast! See you there!

THE EVER POPULAR AND ENDEARING CLIFF ERICKSON RETURNS TO IMPERIAL WILDERNESS! Cliff Erickson is considered one of the finest acoustic performers throughout the Midwest and southwestern Ontario.  His musical instincts are clearly portrayed in his original work along with his amazing ability to capture the passion evoked by countless cover tunes.  His soothing voice and his extraordinary talent on his signature 12-string acoustic guitar captivate his listeners as he takes them along on what has been best described as an “unparalleled musical excursion.”   

 

Cliff’s fans love him like a best friend while music aficionados regard him as the ultimate mentor. His warm and engaging personality transcends the big stage as seen in his interactive performances at elementary schools, homes for senior citizens, and charitable events.

Cindi Jackson, a new seasonal resident of IW, will bring her artistic talents to the forefront on Saturday, March 5th from 12-3 pm and help those that would like to "brush up" on their painting technique and those that have never painted create their own acrylic masterpiece!   A 10 x 10 canvas will be provided along with acrylic paint. You are invited to bring your own beverage to sip along with a snack. A ball jar or sturdy container is a must to clean your brushes. Bring your brushes if you have 'em! An apron will keep you clean. The subject matter is a beautiful SW Florida scene! It's beautiful and Cindi promises you will create a masterpiece to grace your wall. Cost is $25 per person with each class limited to 15 participants. Step by step instruction creates a very enjoyable day. You will be amazed at the artist within you! Additional information including prepaid reservations will be available at Monday morning Activities Meetings in the clubhouse. If demand dictates, additional classes may be scheduled!  Questions? $5 Bucks to Cluck! This is an indescribable event! Chicken Little shows up. Sometimes the Colonel shows too! A combo bingo/poker format is easy and fun. Feel free to buy multiple cards to increase your competitiveness! Change out your cards if you're not yelling "Chicken Shoot"! 39 Rotissierre chickens will find a new home! Side bets encouraged - maybe even a little chicken dance. Bring your own snacks and beverages!

The annual memorial service is a beloved and poignant tradition within the IWCA Family, where we honor our friends and neighbors that passed away during the year. If you know of a resident or long time renter that passed away, please send any obituary information to Frank A. or Anne B. Additional details will be made available as the date approaches. Look for an article in the January newsletter, emails, and information shared at Activity Meetings on Monday mornings.

Recycling is mandatory for all multi-family properties under Ordinance 2009-56.
Representatives will be onsite to inform owners and renters about the best ways to preserve the environment and keep our trash removal costs down. Please plan to attend. This is important and will help us all become better stewards of our community and our planet.

Walk on over for a Taco Salad! This is a new Blue Plate Special offered by the dynamic Chicken Shoot Crew! $5 for the Salad and brownies for dessert are $1. ! Deb P. has teamed up with new resident Bruno Shawl to bring you a Friday afternoon pop-up concert on the pool patio! Bring a chair, your own beverage and snacks and get ready to tap your toes, dance or just take in the music during this happy hour. You'll just have to show up and see who's on deck!

The New Horizon's Band started in Imperial Wilderness in the early 2000's and has offered a Spring band concert annually to the delight of all. This band has grown from 13 original members including Tom Damato to approximately 50-60 musicians from throughout Naples that come to Imperial Wilderness to play their hearts out for our enjoyment. The event will conclude with a cake and coffee reception free to all in honor of Tom and Joanne Damato for all they have contributed to the IW community during their 32 seasons here.  Come and enjoy the band. Tom Damato is the only Imperial Wilderness Charter member. Tom continues to play with them today and orgainizes this event. Come celebrate the band, their music and Tom & Joanne Damato!

 

Doors open at 6 PM for great seating! The event is free to all but a freewill offering will be taken to help purchase band music. Musicians come to IW from throughout Naples so parking will be limited. Cart pool, please!

This rambunctious event is the highlight of the year for many! Our best "cake bosses" bring out their best recipes to auction off to the highest bidders! More than cake, the auction includes cookies, candies, pies, bars, breakfast rolls and cake! Many desserts are shared at the tables that evening! It's so SWEET! Jaane Podzius is chairing this event. Bruno Shawl was a fan favorite at his debut performance in IW earlier this month! Back by popular demand, Bruno will perform during a Pop-Up Happy Hour on the Clubhouse Pool Deck. This is a "pass the hat" event. BYOB, snacks, a chair and dance, tap your toes and say "See yyou next season" to our departing friends!

The Barbershoppers, also known as the Chorus of the Everglades and directed by R. McKee, return to Imperial Wilderness for a musical evening of barbershop music. Cathy & Dave B. & Crew will offer an Italian Wedding Soup and salad dinner, all for $10! How can you beat that for an evening of great food and fine enterrtainment.Dinner at 5 PM and entertainment to follow at 7:00 PM! What a great way to wind up "season" in the Wilderness!

The Church of the Wilderness is hosting a (potluck) brunch following the last church service of the season. Attendees are able to sign up to bring a dish to share following Sunday's service on Sunday, March 20th.

Join your friends and neighbors each Sunday for ice cream sundaes in the clubhouse. Janice and Gary K. and friends scoop a variety of flavors with toppings available. This is a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones! Volunteers are always welcome to step up and help!

Collier County District 1 Commissioner Frank LoCastro will be our guest speaker following the Activities Meeting on Monday, March 28th at 9:30 AM. Plan to learn about the hotbed of commercial and residential development in East Naples. This will be Commissioner LoCastro's first visit to IWCA following the retirement of former long-time Commissioner Donna Fiala. Questions for Commissioner LoCastro may be submitted in the suggestion box in the Clubhouse. Be sure to get all of your questions answered! See you there!

“Hot Damn” is the duo act of husband and wife team, Norm and Debbie Pelletier with the true sound of a full band. As dedicated musicians playing over 200 gigs a year, you can expect a professional, fun and talent filled show. Norm plays a smoking lead guitar and Debbie plays a zeta standup bass. Both are vocalists complimenting each other with harmonies. They boast a repertoire of over 1,000 songs. The mechanical drum machine keeps the dance beat moving.
