Doris P. and Jane M will meet with the 26 IW residents departing for a 10 day cruise on Monday, March 4th.

This Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute was "top of mind" for our residents last season so we heeded the call to book them in 2024! Tribute bands are all the rage as they promise a more authentic approximation of the original songs, according to a recent Florida Weekly review of regional tribute bands. Come and enjoy the music and relive the  memories that CCR music evokes! Think chart toppers "Who'll Stop the Rain", "Bad Moon Rising", "Travelin' Band", "Have You Seen the Rain", "Susie Q", "Down on the Corner".....

 

This will be a sell-out! Get your Tickets early! Table Reservation forms are on the table by the Suggestion Box; Ginger will be handing out numbers at 8:00 AM on Monday, February 26th.

 

 

The Picklebll players will be hosting a free pickleball clinic on our courts today. Wear white soled court shoes. Racquets are provided along with instruction. No experience required. All skill levels invited! Pickleball is a fast growing sport offering great fun, camaraderie and exercise! Join in and learn a new sport or improve your skill level! Free!

This is our last community craft sale of the season, just in time to shop local and doll yourself up for those special summer events, or to buy your summer supply of greeting cards from our card makers! There's lots of beautiful handmade items to choose from-all made by your friends and neighbors in "The Wilderness"! Don't forget lunch!

The ever popular 12-string acoustical guitar-playing Cliff Erickson returns to "The Wilderness" with his two hour, non-stop folksy entertainment. He'll make you laugh, tear-up, tap your toes and sing along with a "Gee Whiz" and a few "Groovy's" thrown in.

The cabaret style seating promises front row/up close and personal seating along with table seating to accommodate your drinks and snacks.

 

The Pickleball Players are teaming up to prepare a delicious Italian meal for everyone! It's been a few years since we've enjoyed a fine pasta meal! Stay tuned for details and remember....the Pickleball players welcome all levels of players (beginners to advanced) on M-W-F nights under the lights. They play Saturday mornings too and offer pickleball clinics to help players level up!  Join in!

This is fun! Pure sweetness. IW's best bakers bring out their best recipes for this annual event. It's fun competition among friends! Bidding is fast, furious and generous as residents bid for their favorite pie, cake, cookies, cannolis, rum cake and more! Desserts are often purchased and returned to the baker's table, or to a competing bidder to be shared and enjoyed! It's a great fundraiser to support reinvestment back into our community. Bring your own dessert plates, forks and napkins! You won't be sorry and don't forget your cash, credit card or checkbook!

We could call our clubhouse the 19th Hole today as the Men's Golf League tees up grilled burgers and dogs with all the fixins'! No "Hackers" in this crew! They are all experienced and their lunches are way above PAR! Make yourself an "Arnold Palmer" with iced tea and lemonade. They will "slice" a dessert for you too! Arrive early so you get a good "lie"; no "playing through"!

Dolph and Cliff, along with our many talented karaoke vocalists, will headline Third Fridays, now inside the clubhouse! BYOB and a snack if you like! Free to all (a Pass the Hat" event if you care to contribute)! The Friday card players will graciously relocate thier games so there is a no "hard stop" to the fun!

Bunco has taken "The Wilderness" by storm! it's a fun game, easy to learn, all are welcome and it's $5 (or five bucks to Bunco)!   Show up at the clubhouse with your fiver and anticipation for fun. You will meet new people! There are 15 tables set up and you'll rotate tables-a very fun way to circulate and meet each! There are five winners so you might get lucky with the most BUNCOs, most wins, most losses AND THE TRAVELING BUCKO!   Join in the fun and see what it's all about! See you there!

This is the last Taco Tuesday Supper of "season" in Imperial Wilderness! Chicken and beef tacos, rice and beans with all the fixins' are provided by Caldwells & Crew! They even make homemade Holy Guacamole! Bring your own margaritas! Lemonade provided!

The final blood drive of the season is scheduled today. Sign-up sheets will be in the multi-purpose room. We average 25 donors. Let's see if we can break a record for IW donors this month!. Each blood donation saves sixteen lives!

The Aqua Zumba Team is joining the Table Team of Dn Dewey and Fletcher Rogers in power washing the pool furniture and pool area at the Satellite Pool!

The Poker Run returns to "The Wilderness" with some fun new twists and turns! Don Dewey, Event Leader says "Grab your Bike, Golf Cart or favorite pair of sneakers and visit CARD/entertainment stops throughout "The Wilderness" neighborhoods, drawing a playing card at each one"! Bring your game packet/s and collected cards to the Clubhouse by 3 PM! Fabulous prizes and live music with $5 burgers & hot dogs. BYOB! This all makes for a raucous and rowdy time! Big Buck & the Biscuit Boys return to The Wilderness for your dancing & listening pleasure-always a hit!

The New Horizon's Band, which had its start in Imperial Wilderness 20+ years ago, returns to our community for an uplifting Spring Concert! Now numbering 60+ musicians including our own Barb Christ, this is a time-honored tradition inoour community! Come hear this concert band for a one-hour concert! They always inspire and never disappoint!

This meeting will be dedicated to brainstorming our 40th Anniversary Celebration in February 2025. Bring your best ideas to help commemorate this milestone anniversary for our community!

OK! You've had your chance to practice up on the Country (Texas) Two Step and Line Dancing with Pat all season! We've got our favorite Country DJ coming back at your request to entertain us for The Last Hurrah!  BYOB and snacks!
